British Columbia is a province as geographically diverse as it is culturally.  With nearly a thousand provincial parks and protected areas, there is no shortage of hiking trails, lakes, mountains, beaches, coast lines, and outdoor activities to enjoy.

In a province home to 197 aboriginal cultures blended together with cultures from Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, BC is the mecca of diversity.  It is a province that you can enjoy a multi-cultural arts and music scene, and culinary gastronomies from around the world.

For the sports fan, the province is host to numerous amateur sports and three professional sports team including the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Vancouver Canucks, the Canadian Foot Ball League’s (CFL) BC Lions, and the Major League Soccer’s (MLS) Vancouver White Caps.

In a 2011 report from The Economist, Vancouver was voted as the world’s most liveable city excelling in areas such as stability, health care, culture and environment, infrastructure, and education.
