Recruiting Teachers at the University of Ottawa
The University of Ottawa's Bachelor of Education students will have an opportunity to find a job they love on February 14th, 2018 at the Anglophone and International Career Fair in Education. Students and new teachers will get to meet Make a Future and eight BC school districts to learn more about Canada's hottest job market in Education from 9:30 am to 2 pm in Lamoureux Hall, Resource Centre Room 203.
In attendance will be recruiters from Surrey School District 36, Vancouver School District 39, North Vancouver School District 44, Greater Victoria School District 61, Chilliwack School District 33, Delta School District 37, Prince Rupert School District 52, and Peace River North School District 60. BC districts will be recruiting French teachers, looking teachers to replenish their on-call teaching pools, hiring to fill full-time positions, and seeking out subject specialists in Math, Mandarin Immersion, Learning Assistance, PE, Music, Special Education, and many other areas.
Maple Leaf Educational Systems, an operator of BC-certified offshore schools, will also be at the event to recruit teachers to their schools in China.
Currently, there are 385 job openings in BC school districts and 118 among those districts attending the career fair in Ottawa.
