BC Schools are Recruiting Teachers in Ontario and Quebec
Make a Future will be travelling across Canada to attend education career fairs in Quebec and Ontario this week. On January 15th, we will be in Thunderbay, Ontario at Lakehead University's Education Fair from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. In addition, BC employers including Abbotsford School District No. 34, Peace River North School District No. 60 and the Tsay Keh Dene First Nation will be at the fair recruiting teachers for opportunities currently available.
On the same day, Make a Future representatives are attending Université Laval's Journée carrière en education in Quebec City from 11 am – 3 pm. We'll be on the lookout for French-speaking teachers interested in taking one of the ninety-five French teaching opportunities available in BC's schools.
Then on Friday, January 17th, we will be at the Western University Career Expo in London, ON, from 10 am-3 pm and at the University of British Columbia's 2020 Education Career Fair from 10 am to 3 pm.
Teachers certified outside of British Columbia can easily obtain a BC teaching certificate. The Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) allows "teachers certified in other provinces to be recognized as qualified for teaching by all other provinces and territories without having to complete additional studies or exams".
