There are 235 in teaching and educational leadership jobs in British Columbia schools as of June 1st, 2015. The majority of advertised opportunities are for positions starting in September. It's not just on-call teaching roles that are available, there are also permanent part-time and full-time jobs.
If you are a recent graduate from a teacher education program, or you've just completed your temporary assignment at a school district, now is the time to find your next job.
As in previous years, there is a province-wide demand for French Immersion teachers from West Vancouver, Nakusp to Fort St. John. If you can teach music, social studies, math, and sciences in French, then your skills are in particular demand. Currently, there are 42 French Immersion and French as a Second Language (FSL) teaching opportunities.

From now until July, school districts will be hiring teachers continuously.
