Boost your brainpower at Richmond's 10th annual conference on how we learn
2009 marks the 10th year that the Richmond school district is hosting a conference on the latest research into how we learn. Studying with the brain in mind – Maximizing every learner's potential will take place on Saturday, April 18 at MacNeill Secondary School.
Following a keynote presentation by acclaimed educational consultant Terry Small, conference participants will attend two interactive educational workshops. These workshops will illuminate how the brain processes information and offer a range of tools to help you and your students learn faster, boost brain power and improve memory.
The conference is free and open to educators, parents, caregivers and students in grades seven through twelve. Students can choose from a variety of workshops, including leadership development, study skills and stress management.
