Traditional Learning Academy Online is a distributed learning school that pairs families with teachers in their community, whenever possible.
Why teach At The Traditional Learning Academy Online?
Distributed learning schools are already quite distinct from other campus schools. At Traditional Learning Academy, we are a community of Christian based educators but, unlike other schools, we are not denominationally affiliated. Our school was created in 2002 in response to the demand for an independent school option of what was available within the public system.
Mission, Vision and Values
Our mission is to partner with parents and students to foster quality learning at home. Our “family first” motto ensures that our focus is on the learner within family-centred educational programs. Our vision statement is “Strong Families, Lifelong Learners”.

Our school is unusual in the option of an exclusively home-based model or a blended model for teachers and learners.

Teachers must provide a statement of faith and an agreement with Christian principles as stated in Nicene Creed to teach at Traditional Learning Academy Online.
Salary And Benefits
We offer competitive salaries at Traditional Learning Academy with a salary range from $42,000 to $62,000 as well as medical, dental and an RRSP plan for our teachers. In addition, we offer professional development benefits such as two annual multi-day staff retreats and professional development for staff is encouraged and supported.
