Effective as of May 1, 2016, the remote recruitment and retention allowance paid to educators assigned to remote and rural schools has increased to $2,386.  Remote and rural schools are located in isolated communities that are far removed from major metropolitan amenities.

Teachers part-time assignments are paid a pro-rated portion of the $2,386.  See how this allowance is calculated.

Teachers in some school districts may also receive additional allowances for expenses related to moving, transportation, professional development, classroom supplies, and etc.
