Education Job Fairs for Canadian Teachers: 2019/20

Canadian teachers, take your career to new heights in British Columbia's public school districts and independent schools.

Make a Future and several BC employers will be hitting the road this fall and winter season to recruit teachers. We're attending career fairs in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec, Manitoba, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia in search of Canadian teachers looking to relocate for fulfilling job opportunities. At the time of publishing this article, there are over 500 teacher job postings and 200 full-time teaching, educational leadership, school counselling, and educational psychology positions advertised on www.makeafuture.ca.

BC employers, such as Vancouver School District 39, Surrey School District 36, Peace River North School District 60, Catholic Independent Schools Vancouver Archdiocese, and more employers are hoping to meet teachers looking for full-time, part-time, and on-call work. In the province, there is a particular need for teachers specializing in technology education, French immersion, math/science, special education, school counselling, and learning assistance. However, BC schools are looking to hire secondary teachers in all subject areas, and those at the kindergarten and primary levels.

In addition to the career fairs, Make a Future will be holding a series of information sessions for teacher education students in campuses across Canada. We're still working out our schedule, and hope to have it published soon.
