What is Spring Transfer?

Ah, finally, we are in the midst of spring! Flowers are blooming and the sun is out, but what does this mean for job seekers in BC schools? Every year, districts provide opportunities (guided by their collective agreement provisions) for teachers to move internally to open positions as a result of teachers retiring, going on leave, or moving to another district. Once these internal moves are over, available positions will get posted externally on – yes, you guessed it – Make a Future's job board!

Spring Transfer is very much like a jigsaw puzzle with a lot of moving pieces. Once a district sees what pieces they are missing, they'll need your help to complete the puzzle! Each district posts positions at different times so keep your eye on the job board. Happy job hunting!
